Hello everyone. Man it's been a while. I don't know about you people, but I've had a hell of a ride lately. Been dealing with so much bullshit.. I have no words. But enough of that.
I am re-opening the community - And with that, I'm bringing a long a Minigames server with us. Minigames isn't exactly the most popular gamemode on Garry's Mod. In fact, almost zero people play it, these days.
So we'll see how it goes, I guess. I've said that there will be a custom website for our community. This is true.. I just don't know when, because I have almost zero knowledge in web development.
So for now.. We're gonna use mistforums. We already have templates and formats made, for ban appeals and so on. I will get a domain for us soon, to get rid of that "mistforums" thingy..

We are up for hiring - This means that we need more staff members in-game, who will help out our members with any issues related to our community.
This is the staff ranks we'll be having - Trial Admin, Admin and Super Admin. I don't see any reasons as to why we should have any more, as it just takes space and cause confusion.
The VIP ranks we will use - Silver VIP, Gold VIP and Diamond VIP.
The server is in beta - This means that the server is not fully complete yet. I still need to check out the maps, to see if everything works. But other than that, everything should work just fine.

GC RP Is Removed - Sandbox Upgraded

Hello everyone,

I came to the conclusion that it would be for the best, just to remove the GC RP server. 
It was dead anyway - And it's fine. I totally get that. Noone wants to play singleplayer on a roleplay server. :P 
Because of this, though. We have upgraded our Sandbox server to 60 slots along with our server processor.
The tickrate is also set to 12 along with a quick update:

  • Safe Zones has been set around the new map.
  • Deleted the Grafitti SWEP - Barely anyone used it. It just took space.
  • Updated the Coin flip script.
  • Updated the radio script.
  • Added Knights Templar playermodels.
  • Oh and we added the new custom map, if you didn't know - gm_flatgrass_gc_v1a.

We now have our new custom map on Sandbox -  gm_flatgrass_gc_v1a.
It is basically a mix with both gm_flatgrass and gm_construct.

Staff Meetings - For All Staff Members

This is to all Staff:

Every Thursday - 6 PM CEST; There will be staff meetings where we will discuss things that might improve our game servers and Global Cross in general.
We will also vote for promotions and demotions, when it comes to that. This means that all staff members are required to attend to the staff meeting.
If you cannot attend - Then please contact a senior staff member. (Super Admin, Community Manager..)

Staff meetings will take place in our new discord text channel "staff_meeting".

  • Fixed the FastDL - Some addons didn't download properly.
  • We now have 60 slots on the server!
  • Changed server tickrate from 22 to 12.
  • Upgraded the server's RAM from 4 GB to 8 GB.
  • Edited Yoda's description - Forgot to add You need to be atleast 20, to use this job.
  • We have some new jobs! Darth Vader (Lvl 30), Drug Addict, Jail Guard, Miner.
  • Added and edited the walkspeed on job AFK.
  • Blue's ATM has been added to the server.
  • Red Sushi Slots has been added to the server - Check the Gud Ol' Pub!
  • DRadio has been added to the server - Available for Medics, Citizens, Staff and Cops.
  • Coin Pusher has been added to the server - Check the Gud Ol' Pub!
  • A new Weed Farming script has been added to the server.
  • Mining ores has been placed across the server. (Tip: Check sewers)
  • Added sniffer to Cops - You can now sniff the weed from a long distance.
  • Gave the Weed Farmer job an iPad to order items.
  • Added a Clothing System to the server and fixed it. (Had some issues with it..)
  • Changed atmos time - Day and night cycle.
  • Changed the Community Manager's scoreboard icon from user.png to user_suit.png.

  • Car prices has been increased.
  • I remade the staff duty jobs. Please check F4 menu for more info.
  • Semi God is now called Angel instead. 
  • Gave the Angel job a Mind Wand.
  • Removed the safe zone addon. Not gonna use it.
  • I added more ulx commands. :D 
  • Removed vcmod. Made a lot of noise, took a lot of space, we don't have cars that require more than 1 seat, anways.
  • I increased the prison time from 120 seconds to 500 seconds, since we now have a prison. A tip: Break out your friends from prison. ;) 
  • Gave a lot of criminal and government jobs, the unarrest batton. Including some custom jobs.
  • Added a day and night cycle to our server. :D 
  • We have a new job: Yoda - Comes with lightsabers. Need to be at least Level 20, to use this job.
  • For Staff - You can now do /banid, /ban, /noclip, /gag, /mute, /bring, /return, and /tp in chat.

New Custom Map In The Works

We're getting a new custom map for our roleplay server.
Me and Red (Our mapper) will be testing our new map today to have it finished without any errors.

  • Resetted all NPC and entity spawns.
  • Replaced our weed system with a new one called uWeed. Check F4 Menu!
  • Weed Farmers, Bartenders and Drug Dealers can now sell bongs. 10 per shipment.
  • Removed some arcbank data files from the server. That shit = No workie.
  • Removed the jukebox from the server. YouTube didn't work.
  • Pianist job has been made VIP only. 
  • Updated description, salary and slots on Pianist job.
  • Made it so Co-Owners can now access plogs.
  • Updated the VIP rank prices. VIP = $5. Exclusive VIP = $10. Global VIP = $20. Special VIP = £30.
  • Nerfed the movement speed on Flash, Reverse-Flash, Zoom, Savitar, Godspeed, Semi God and God.
  • We have a new job called Assassin. It's kinda the same as Hitman. Accessible when becoming level 12, or higher.
  • You now need to be level 10 to use the Hitman job.
  • You can now request a hit of maximum 100.000 in-game cash!
  • Created a new category in the F4 Menu - Weed Supplies.
  • Added a youtube video tutorial on how to grow weed, in the Guide NPC.
  • An another new job called Car Mechanic. You can now fix people's cars with it and sell gas. Requires level 4.
  • VCMod has been added to the server! You can now fix your car, use gas and sit in the car with people.
  • West Side and East Side has now been made VIP only. Salary and movement speed, also changed.

  • You can now see the amount of money people have, in our scoreboard!
  • Updated our scoreboard to a newer version and changed the server name title and player count color.
  • Nerfed the amount of money you earn from meth cooking, a tiny bit.
  • It now takes less time to cook meth in-game.
  • There are now 2 new named places in-game. Rich Men's Fountain and the Beach of Awesome.
  • Normal pocket has been removed - There was a bug with the printers, where you could duplicate them.
  • The cars are now more expensive - Example: Dodge Charger - Old Price: 25k. New Price: 75k.
  • Nerfed the amount of money you get, when protecting the bank. 
  • The job called Rich Citizen has been renamed Rich Person. Had some trouble with ULX, when setting jobs.
  • The printers has been nerfed a tiny bit + New printer in-game called The No-Life Printer. (Lvl 100)
  • Players can now physgun meth stove and meth items!
  • Warrant time and wanted time has been increased by 35%.
  • FAdmin has been enabled on our server! 
  • Admins can now freeze players by lifting them up and right clicking.
  • We got a new job called Priest! Gather a large amount of followers and chat about God in the church!
  • I disabled Lua Refresh on the server - This way.. I can work with the server, while people are playing.
  • EDIT: James have returned to his old post as Co-Owner of Global Cross.

  • Increased XP per second from 100 to 125 XP.
  • Removed 2 default laws from the law board.
  • Fixed Trial Admins not being able to access S.W.A.T Leader.
  • Fixed Trial Admins not being able to access Special Force Leader.
  • Operators and Moderators can now access VIP jobs and pointshop VIP items.
  • There's a new ULX rank called Co-Owner - For Arize.
  • There's a new job called Rich Citizens - You need to carry at least 2 million dollars to use it!
  • Made also a new job called Secret Service - Protected your P and V.P!
  • Nerfed the run speed on Flash, Reverse-Flash, Zoom, Savitar, Godspeed, Semi God.
  • Fixed the job description for the Semi God job. You can now roleplay! But please READ the description.
  • It is now a lot easier to level up in-game! 
  • We got a new map called rp_downtown_tits_v1 - We used it at launch!

  • Added God and Semi God to door groups: Hotel Managment, Gud Ol' Pub and GC PD.
  • Made a new door group for Bartender - The Gud Ol' Pub.
  • Disabled the ulx level commands - So now it's impossible to cheat through levels.
  • Added the Winchester Rifle weapon to Professional Thief.
  • We now have a new HUD in-game called Mood HUD.
  • Added Pro Lockpick to Pro Thief, God, Semi God, Bad Ass, Flash, Reverse, Zoom, Savitar, Godspeed, Purple Under Dogs, Wizard Cross, Arize.
  • Added Health & Armor recharger to the F4 Menu. 
  • Edited a tiny grammar mistake in the Marquee.
  • You will now be given 100 XP every 285 sec instead of every 305 sec.
  • 2 new printers: Supreme Deluxe Printer (Level 50) and God-Like Printer (Level 70). 
  • Changed the max cameras from 3 to 4.
  • Fixed an issue where the GMod HUD would appear, from time to time.

  • Elevator tool has been added.
  • Props should not ghost through you, anymore.
  • Duplicator tool has been removed - There's a dangerous exploit on it.
  • Nerfed the PSG-1 Sniper - Had complaints of it being too OP.
  • Fixed Airboat not being able to spawn in.
  • Buffed the Rictumsempra - Now does a damage of 40 - 60 hp.
  • Added a new job for vips - Giant. (Requires VIP or higher..)
  • Edited the Child job - Made it a tiny bit smaller + Changed movement speed.

  • A custom job for Aries has been made.
  • There are now new cars on the server.
  • Some people didn't like rp_downtown_v4c_v4_sewers, so we've changed to rp_chaos_city.
  • Staff member job now has a salary of $45, instead of $0.
  • There's now a radio for cops to use.
  • FBI, SWAT Leader, Special force now has lockpicks.
  • Changed the movement speed of Doctor, Drug dealer and Meth Cooker.
  • Enhanced meth lab has made a return!
  • We have a new enhanced third person module.
  • New job: Savitar! He's faster than Zoom, but not Godspeed.
  • Flash, Reverse, Zoom, Savitar and Godspeed now has lockpicks.

  • Neon's custom job should be fixed now.
  • Explosives will now be restricted during Purge.
  • You can now press F3 to open up the Pointshop.
  • Wizards of The Cross now have a wand. 
  • Wands are now nerfed.
  • New jobs: Zoom (Lvl 45), Hagrid (Lvl 25), Dumbledore (Lvl 35).
  • Changed the sprint speed: Normal sprint speed, 385. Flash = 1500. Reverse-Flash = 3000. Zoom = 5000. Godspeed = 7000. 
  • Changed so that you don't have to vote, to become Vice President in-game.
  • Changed so that President and Vice President have same movement speed.
  • Fixed issue with Special VIP not being able to access VIP stuff in pointshop.
  • Top hat (pointshop item) now costs 7900 points.
  • Purge will now begin every 4th hour instead.
  • Reduced movement speed on the AFK job.
  • Changed the movement speed of Stripper, Doctor, and Protester.
  • Lockpicks has been added to Drug Dealer and Doctor.
  • Changed the price of the EX41 grenade launcher to 55.000 cash.

This is now the rank every accepted applicant will be using. 
(We will sometimes promote members straight to moderator, if we feel they are ready for it..)

  • Changed every single job color.
  • Explosives will now automatically be taken away during purge.
  • We have a new map - rp_downtown_justrp. We do have an alternative one - rp_downtown_v2.
  • An another citizen skin has been added to the job, Bartender.'
  • You can now build during purge.
  • Gravity Gun won't be taken away during purge, anymore.
  • Drug, Vapes and Explosive prices has now been changed. 
  • Guards will now sprint a little bit faster than other jobs.
  • Changed the model of the Guide NPC.
  • Job categories will now automatically be closed upon opening the F4 menu.
  • There's a new NPC added on the server - Black Market Dealer. You can sell certain stolen goods to him.
  • Every job who is considered a member in the Police Enforcement, will now sprint a little bit faster than some other jobs.
  • The afk job now sprints slower than other jobs, since the job is only ment for AFK.
  • Thief, Pro Thief, Gangster, West Side, East Side, Wizard of The Cross, Chield, Hobo, Mafia, FBI, Guard, Bartender, Black Market Dealer, Citizen, will now have access to the Black Market NPC.

The Server Is Already Dead

Hello,

From the looks of it, the server is already kinda dead. Now I haven't been that active, so that blame goes to me.
But what can we do, to turn the tide a little bit? To get a stable playerbase? I think that in order achieve this, we need our staff team in-game as much as possible.
We also need a map a/o gamemode, that everyone is satisfied with. So what do you people wanna do about this? 

Should we change the map?
Or,
Should we change the gamemode?

  • Removed enhanced meth lab - Made some serious FPS drops. 
  • Removed party system - Made some people godded.
  • Added Arcslots - Casino for the win!

  • New job: Wizard of The Cross - Requires Global VIP or higher.
  • Fixed textures for keycard scanners.
  • Added magic wands.
  • Added ARCbank - You can now create your own bank account to store currency!
  • New job: ATM Hacker - Requires level 12!
  • Weed Farmer now requires level 8 or higher, to be used.
  • Fixed a bunch of other stuff, I can't be arsed to write down..
  • Type !pointshop in-game, to open up the pointshop - Hats and more, can be found in the pointshop.
  • Would you like a free hat, 15k points and 50k in-game cash? Join our steam group, then head in-game! (Or type !steam in-game)
  • Buffed the level system - Added a new printer called Basic Printer. It's a level 1 printer. 
  • Removed voice commands - People were able to use it in OOC.'
  • Updated the radio script we have.
  • Reduced the servers slots from 40 to 35 - Until we get a stable playerbase.
  • Changed the server tickrate from 33 to 66. 
  • Made leveling up, a little bit easier.

Global Cross' Launch // Are You Ready?

Hello everyone,

Today, 9 PM CEST // 12 PM PDT, we will be launching our darkrp server. Our server will be in beta for a few days, so some stuff might not work.
Please report back to Me or TheNeonRaider, if you had a vip rank before. You need to provide evidence that proves that you did indeed have a vip rank. 
There are too many people who attempt to lie to get a free vip rank.. So we need to take some precautions.

From the looks off it - The server might be up and running around Sep. 3rd - 6th.
